New York City Marathon 2009

Emily ran her first 7 miles on Tuesday, from mine to Belper along the nasty hilly A6!  she did really well and stayed consistent on the hills not slowing down at all.

We'll be working on speed over the next week progressing to 8 miles the week after next.

As for me I'll have to start picking up on my speedwork to achieve my target time in NY this year.

My Garmin Profile from Tuesday 22nd April 2008 (quite a hilly run you can see) the blips in pace are flipping traffic lights not me stopping for a rest!!! :-(  see ya later alligator (emilys graph from tomorrows A6 run to follow)

Derby 10k 04/24/2009

Well we both ran the Derby 10k last Sunday in the gorgeous weather (Well it started off a bit windy but we soon got warmed up in the sun!)  It was the 2nd time Emily had covered the distance and on the day ran an average of 2 minutes a mile quicker than the first time which was pretty good going after having picked up something grotty from the children!

We were interviewed by BBC radio a podcast of which I'll be putting on here soon!
